Ten Things To Love About Architect Alfred Browning Parker is a 40-minute documentary presenting highlights from the career of American master architect Alfred Browning Parker.
Alfred Browning Parker (1916-2011) is representative of the spirit and genius of America. His humanistic approach to architecture defines American Modernism; his livable, practical and beautiful buildings illustrate its breadth and depth. A life-long environmentalist and co-founder of the alternative energy company: the Solar Reactor Technologies (SRT) Group, Parker’s awareness and attention to the natural world was heartfelt and constant. An educator and author, Parker’s enthusiasm and hands-on approach to design and construction inspired a new generation of students at the University of Florida.
In the mid-twentieth century, architect Alfred Browning Parker transformed the built environment of South Florida. With thousands of private homes, scores of public buildings, and a master plan for the city, he helped make Miami an international architectural destination. In the 21st century the Solar Reactor Technologies (SRT) Group is on the cutting edge of the green energy revolution.
