A life-long environmentalist and co-founder of the alternative energy company: the Solar Reactor Technologies (SRT) Group, Parker’s awareness and attention to the natural world was heartfelt and constant. An educator and author, Parker’s enthusiasm and hands-on approach to design and construction inspired a new generation of students at the University of Florida.

In the mid-twentieth century, architect Alfred Browning Parker transformed the built environment of South Florida. With thousands of private homes, scores of public buildings, and a master plan for the city, he helped make Miami an international architectural destination.
